Christians In Real Estate, commonly known as CIRE (pronounced “sire”), was established in 1996. From its inception, CIRE functioned as a loosely organized network of individuals dedicated to promoting the presence and awareness of Christ within the business community. Over the next several years, the group continued to grow and formalize its mission. In 2000, CIRE took a significant step forward by becoming an incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, solidifying its commitment, and enabling broader outreach and impact.
CIRE’s activities currently include three luncheons a year to bring people together to fellowship and to share their faith experiences. While its name suggests that the group is for those in real estate, CIRE invites people from all businesses and religious backgrounds.
In addition, CIRE issues a newsletter three times a year. CIRE welcomes articles from professionals who may want to reach out into the business community.
In the planning stage are workshops and seminars and using CIRE’s network and resources to help relieve the affordable housing crisis in Hawaii. Work to expand the ministry is ongoing. If you feel led to assist CIRE, call Elizabeth Garcia 808 330-6218
